Bio: I’m Azurite, and I’m honored to meet you. I have a pretty strong prayer practice (more spiritual, less ecclesiastial), and I would love to share that with someone. I’m also a grief counselor by trade, and I care deeply for my clients; when it feels like I’ve taken on a lot of their emotional pain, I find that sitting outside on the night of a full moon really helps me reset so I can keep doing my best work. A fun fact about me is that my favorite band is Hootie & the Blowfish, and my favorite food is pie.
Perfect date: Staying in on a rainy day with a warm fire, some comforting food, a soft blanket, and a cheerful movie.
After work, you can find me: relaxing as much as possible! I’m recharging in nature, going for a walk, meditating, lounging in my room or living room and kicking back.
What’s in my cup: Vanilla turmeric latte
Favorite place to travel: Marble Cathedral, Chile. One of the most breathtaking natural landmarks on planet earth, created from erosion and fractures over thousands of years.
Favorite book: Kintsugi Wellness, by Candice Kumai. Kintsugi is the Japanese practice of repairing broken pottery with gold, creating a rebuilt piece with gilded cracks; a metaphor for the beauty in our ‘brokenness,’ and how our most difficult times are what adds such depth to our lives.
Theme song: Less of my ‘theme’ song and more of a song that hits my heart more than any other: Eric Clapton’s Tears in Heaven
Astrology: Cancer sun, Aquarius moon, Scorpio rising
